Welcome to the Hospital Wing's January Event: When Sharing Isn't Caring
*DISCLAIMER: This event is related to the COVID-19 Virus. Please be advised that we know and are aware that this is a sore subject for a lot of people and this event was not created as a means to upset or provoke anyone. We know and understand the seriousness of this virus. And, while things have been getting worse all over the world, we wanted to give you guys an outlet to have fun with it in the Magical World (we know that COVID is NOT fun by any means). Giving you this outlet gives you the ability to be creative, understanding, and express yourselves in a structured environment.
The Story
For the past week, the entire castle has been on lockdown. Over Christmas break, several students returned home to visit and celebrate with their families. However, about a week ago, several students from each house came down very ill. They were having shortness of breath, coughing, fevers, some were vomiting, and some had the shakes. After a few days, the nurses reached out to a muggle institution to try and figure out what was going on. They were given COVID tests and told to test the sick students.
Each sick student that was tested, tested positive for the COVID virus. Hence, classes were cancelled, students and staff were instructed to quarantine for 14 days. Those who couldn't quarantine due to severe medical issues were sent to St. Mungo's Hospital.
As you can imagine, after a week in quarantine, the students are getting bored and antsy.
Your Task
Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to write a short story about your quarantine experience as a Hogwarts Student.
