Welcome to January's Event: Back-to-school Snow Madness!
The Story
You've just returned to Hogwarts after winter break with your families. It's the weekend and there is this magical white stuff falling from the sky and sticking to the ground outside. Your professors know you've been off the grounds for a while, classes are set to start on Monday, and they encourage you to go outside and play.
Your Task
Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to write a creative and entertaining short story that involves playing outside in the snow. However, here are somethings you should know.
- Your story should be 300-900 words.
- You must include these words in your story: white, snow, winter, owl, dancing, music, and angel.
- All work submitted must be your own work.
- Submit your entry directly to this thread by 11:59 PM EST on January 31st, 2021
- You can only submit one entry!
Prizes
Participation: 100 House Points & 100 Galleons (must meet the minimum word count)
1st Place: 5,000 House Points & 5,000 Galleons
2nd Place: 3,000 House Points & 3,000 Galleons
3rd Place: 1,000 House Points & 3,000 Galleons
ALL Place prizes will be given out based on whether or not the story has met the minimum requirements, how well the story is written, used the words required in the story, how creative and entertaining the story is, and how well the story grasps the attention of the reader.
